The deadly combination of Vishnu Manchu and Nageshwar Reddy is back. Given that the duo delivered successful films such as Dhenikaina Ready, Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam, naturally, expectations are high on their latest outing Achari America Yatra. The makers have zeroed in on Kanche beauty Pragya Jaiswal to love Vishnu. Interesting promos, hilarious trailer promise the film to be a laugh riot. Let’s check whether the film live up to all its expectations or not.
Krishnamachari (Vishnu Manchu), and his guru, head priest (Brahmanandam) perform religious rituals in the house of baddie Raju (Pradeep Rawat). But this doesn’t do any good to Raju’s family. Instead, it causes bad. On top of it, the head of his family (Kota Srinivasa Rao) passes away. Raju firmly believes Krishnamachari and his team are the reason. He vows to eliminate them.
To escape from Raju, Krishnamachari devises a plan and asks his team to move to the US along with him. But what is the true motive behind Krishnamachari’s US plan? What is his connection to the US?
Vishnu Manchu as Krishnamachari has done a splendid job. He performed with ease. Since comedy is his forte (sample Dhee, Dhenikaina Ready), he has comfortably pulled off the role and shouldered the film. After a long time, Brahmanandam has come up with a meaty role. Brahmi’s full-length comedy show is the backbone for the film. Scenes involving Brahmi, Vishnu Manchu are rib-tickling to the core.
Pragya, as usual, took the screen by storm. She has revved up the glam quotient of the film. She grooves well for songs. She is a beauty to watch out for in Achari America Yatra. Pradeep Rawat, Thakur Anoop Singh are impressive as baddies. Prudhvi, Posani, Praveen and Prabhas Sreenu are alright.
Lag at portions
It’s been longtime, an out-and-out comedy film is released. Filling the gap, Vishnu’s Achari America Yatra has delivered what it offers. Director Nageshwar Reddy tried to recreate the magic of Dhenikaina Ready. Although he is not fully successful in his attempt, he comes close to it. Vishnu, Brahmi have done their parts well and so did Pragya. She scorches screens with her glamour in songs. She is a big asset for the film. While the first half is okay, the second half could have been better. Music is good. Songs are watchable. Editing could have been slick. Overall, the film is a time-pass entertainer.
Achari America Yatra is a hilarious entertainer. It is a fun ride. Go for it.
