Manjula Ghattamaneni made her debut in the field of direction with her film, Manasuku Nachindi. Featuring Sundeep Kishan, Amyra Dastur and Tridha Choudhary in the lead roles, this film encompasses a beautiful love story. Manasuku Nachindi comes with the tagline – Follow your heart and focuses on the essence of nature. Superstar Mahesh Babu makes his presence felt with his voice over as the nature.
The movie kickstarts with an amusing scene of Suraj (Sundeep) and Nithya (Amyra) running away from their own wedding. This twist in the very beginning of the movie captures the attention of the audience. The two of them along with their friends elope to Goa for a vacation. Suraj is a very practical, new gen guy who looks for logic behind everything. He is passionate about photography and prefers clubbing over enjoying the nature. However, Suraj does not find any success in the path he is following and he keeps getting frustrated about that. Nithya on the other hand is a nature lover with a pure heart. She believes in magic and always follows her heart. Nithya being Suraj’s best friend is the biggest advantage in his life. While Suraj meets Nikita (Tridha,) Nithya meets Abhay. Both the couples are going out and having the time of their lives. However, Nithya begins to develop feelings for Suraj while Suraj is falling hard for Nikita. Thus begins the triangle love story. Who will Suraj choose? Will Suraj begin to appreciate nature? Will he find success in his profession?
Sundeep Kishan looks very smart and stylish in his all new avatar. He does a very good job as Suraj, the confused soul. Amyra as Nithya steals the hearts of the audience. With her ever charming smile and positive yet naive way of looking at life reach out to us. Tridha Choudhary plays the role of Nikita, a fashion queen. She does a very good job as a low-key diva. We also get to see her in a new avatar that left us awe struck. Jhanavi Swaroop plays the role of Janu and she stole our hearts with her sass. Actors like Priyadarshi, Sanjay Swaroop and Punarnavi were impressive.
Lag at some portions
Tridha could have a stronger role
Manjula Ghattamaneni managed to impress each one of us with her debut film. It commendable that she chose such a strong, yet simple concept for her first film. Sundeep and Amyra do justice to their roles. The makers could have given Tridha a stronger role since she is capable of so much more. Scenes between Janu and Suraj are a highlight in the film. Hats off to the cinematographer! After Manasuku Nachindi, nobody will be able to disregard the beauty of mother nature. Radhan does a very good job with the music. Costumes in the film are also really good. The interval bang only increases our curiosity as to what might happen next. Except for a lag in a few places, this is a simple and feel good film with a strong message.
Manasuku Nachindi is a must watch, especially for nature lovers and the ones who are struggling to find their place.
