Without further delay, find out our take on the film.
Aaditya Sekhar (Varun Tej) is an ambitious student who is very good in academics. Though he is studious, he is naughty at times. Sample this, he teaches his principal a lesson before leaving the college. Happy-go-lucky Aaditya falls for a girl Varsha (Raashi Khanna) who meets him in a train and saves him from an accident. Subsequently, Aaditya rescues Varsha from goons and he proposes to Varsha in no time. Though she is fond of Aaditya, she seeks some time. And they finally meet in their graduation college where things move rapidly. Both get along very well and fall for each other. Varsha too accepts Aaditya’s love.
However, one senior in college Somu comes in between Varsha, Aaditya. Aaditya, who easily loses cool, beats Somu in front of college principal and this leads to disturbances in their love. Varsha is upset about Aaditya’s irresistible anger and Aaditya turns serious on Varsha too and breaks up with her. Adamant Aaditya moves away from Varsha and doesn’t get in touch with her again.
After six years, Varsha makes reentry into Aaditya’s life as his superior (Site Manager) in an architecture firm. Things weren’t as before. But slowly, both Aaditya and Varsha start patching up. How Aaditya and Varsha reunite? How Aaditya realises his never-ending love for Varsha?
Varun Tej as Aaditya breathes life into the role. He has clarity yet he is confused. He has love yet he is angry. Varun subtle action is impressive. He’s the show stealer. Varun looks at his best. Raashi Khanna has got a role with a substance. She is a beauty with brains. She’s best of both worlds and an absolute stunner. Raashi has performed very well.
Priyadarshi as Ravi and Hyper Aadi as Raju tickle the funnybones. VK Naresh, Suhasini play good roles.
Scenes involving Varun and Vidyulekha
Hyper Aadi’s Comedy
Tholi Prema is all about Aaditya’s first love and how he makes it successful. It is simple but profound. Kudos to debutante director Venky for crafting a film so nicely. Though it appears to be slow at times, the film’s soul has been intact. That’s where Venky scored the points. Music, visuals are top notch. They are the key points which enhance this simple tale of Aaditya, Varsha. Dialogues are witty and well-written. Scenes in college involving Varun Tej and Vidyulekha are hilarious. Hyper Aadi’s comedy in London are laugh riot. Good screenplay, impressive direction coupled with talented cast make Tholi Prema a nice watch.
The film doesn’t bore any where. It moves smoothly at even pace. The pre-climax and climax where Varun and Raashi ditch their differences and get united brings cheer on audiences face. It’s a love story that everyone would relate to.
Tholi Prema tugs at your heartstrings. Brace up for it before you step into theatre.
