Veteran star Prakash Raj has always been that actor who is never afraid to put forth his views about anything. Of late, he made to the headlines quite often for his strong statements against a lot of political leaders. He has always been a socially responsible individual by standing up for the right.
Recently at a BJP event in Karnataka, UP Minister Yogi Adityanath asked the Karnataka government not to celebrate the birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan. In his words, the Congress started to celebrate Tipu Sultan’s birthday on a ground where they worship Lord Hanuman. According to the UP Minister, it is morally incorrect to do something of that sort.
Naturally, Prakash Raj striked back at the CM with a question as to what exactly his agenda was. The senior actor took to Twitter and said, “Yogi ji orders people of Karnataka “don’t celebrate tippu sultan in the land of hanuman” dear sir.. what’s your agenda again…#justasking.” The actor also questioned them as to why, after all these years the BJP was trying to dig up communal riots. To support his point, Prakash Raj shared images of some BJP leaders celebrating Tipu Sultan’s birth anniversary. He advised the BJP government not to bring up unnecessary clashes, especially ahead of the Karnataka elections.
Like always, senior actor Prakash Raj nailed it with his perfect comeback answers for such issues!
