Trisha Krishnan is not a new name in the South film industry. This actress started her career with an uncredited role in the film Jodi, back in 1999. She became a lead actress with her Tamil debut film, Mounam Pesiyadhe in the year 2002. As of today, the 13th of December 2017, Trisha successfully completed 15 years in the industry!
In the year 2003, she went on to do 5 Tamil films, one of which was a bilingual titled Ennaku 20, Unnaku 18. This film was released in Telugu as Nee Manasu Naku Telusu, which was her first film in Tollywood. In the year 2004, she was seen in the film Varsham opposite Prabhas. For this film, she received the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu. In 2005, she received yet another Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu for her performance in Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana.
Since then, she went on to do a lot of Telugu and Tamil films and was established as one of the best South actresses of the time. Her Hindi debut was with the film Khatta Meetha in the year 2010 for which she was also nominated for the Filmfare Award For Best Female Debut! After juggling between Tollywood and Kollywood for a few more years as the top actress, she made her Kannada debut with Power, in the year 2014.
Trisha is currently filming for 6 films in the year 2017! Hey Jude would mark her Malayalam debut while 1818 will be released both in the Tamil and Telugu languages. The other 4 films are all in the Tamil language.

2003 – In this year, she was seen in 5 Tamil films one of which was a bilingual! This was just one year after Trisha made her debut film as a lead actress.
2005 – In this year, Trisha was seen in 6 films, 3 of which were in Tamil and the other 3 in Telugu! She received the Filmfare Best Actress Award for Siddharth’s Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana.
2006 – Trisha was seen in 6 films even in this year! 2 out of these movies were in Tamil while 4 of them were Telugu. However, in the film Bangaram, she was seen as a special appearance and not a lead role.
2008 – This year was the peak in her career. Trisha was riding a career high with a release of 7 films! She was seen as the lead actress in 3 Telugu films and 3 Tamil films and as a special appearance in the Tamil film, Velli Thirai. In this year, she was nominated for the Filmfare Award For Best Actress – Tamil for the film, Abhiyum Naanum.
2010 – Trisha was again seen in 5 films this year. She was seen as the lead actress in 2 Tamil films and 1 Telugu film. This actress made her Hindi debut with Khatta Meetha and was also nominated for the best debut Filmfare award. She was also seen in a cameo role in Naga Chaitanya’s Ye Maaya Chesave!
2015 – This year saw Trisha in 5 films again, one of which was a bilingual titled Thoonga Vanam in Tamil and Cheekati Rajyam in Tamil. Apart from this, she was seen in 2 Tamil films and 1 Telugu film.
2017 – This year, she is currently juggled between shooting for 6 films, most of which are in the post production phase right now. Out of these 6, a film titled 1818 is a Tamil and Telugu bilingual.
