With Bichagadu, Vijay Antony has become a household name in the Telugu states. He is yet again testing his luck with Indrasena that is aggressively promoted. The film is released by Krishna Reddy under NKR Films. Will this be yet another Bichagadu for Vijay? Check out our review of Indrasena.
It is a tale of twin brothers – Indrasena and Rudrasena played by Vijay Antony. Indrasena is addicted to alcohol and spoils his life, whereas Rudrasena is well-settled.
In a murder case, Indrasena is sent to prison for seven years and the situations that follow change the life of Rudrasena. What is the change? What made Rudrasena change his path? The rest of the story is how Indrasena resolves all issues.
Vijay Antony is perfect cast for the roles – Indrasena, Rudrasena. Vijay pulls off the whole film on his shoulders. He did a great job. The entire film revolves around his roles.
Diana Champika and Mahima are alright as female leads. Radha Ravi, Kali Venkat, Nalinikanth are okay.
Slow Pace at some portions
After making a fortune with mother sentiment in Bichagadu, Vijay Antony this time banks on brother sentiment. He has picked a story of a sacrificing brother and it is dealt in a nice way.
Debutante director Srinivasan has come up with a decent story that may appeal to families. However, the film’s strength lies in its narration. Pre-interval episode is a huge asset for the film. The family sentiment scenes in the second half too work in favour of the film. The background music by Vijay Antony (who is also credited as music director) is compelling. Cinematography is fine. Editing is alright. However, slow pace at some portions could be avoided. Barring this, the film makes for a decent watch.
Indrasena is an engaging family drama with good twists and nice dose of emotion. Watch it with families.
