Sunil Varma, once a top comedian, now an established hero is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming, Ungarala Rambabu. Directed by Kranti Madhav, this film features Miya George in female lead role. In a recent interview with Telugu Filmnagar, Sunil opened up about his movie and spoke a lot about his personal life. When asked if he noticed any change in the reaction of his audience after he became a hero, he responded as such.
Sunil said, a lot of his fans are missing him quite a lot as a comedian. He said, even though he is trying to comic roles even as the lead, he is not able to deliver the kind of comedy audience is expecting from him. In his words, there are not many directors today who are able to do comedy movies. Earlier, they had comic directors, hence senior actors like Rajendra Prasad were able to do full fledged comic roles even as the leads.
Sunil continued, though he is receiving the roles of a comedian, he is now not able to take time out for that. He is currently juggling with different movies. So he does not have the time to appear in every second film like he previously used to. However, Sunil revealed that after Ungarala Rambabu, he took a decision.
Sunil decided to maintain a balance between comedian roles and hero roles. He stated, in a year, he will make sure to do at least 2 roles as a comedian and one movie as the main lead. This way, he will be able to dedicate his time in both the places and satisfy his audience.
Can’t wait to see one of the best comedians of all time, Sunil come back on screen in the role of a full fledged comedian!
