Arjun Reddy is a much awaited movie in Vijay Deverakonda’s career. This movie is a romantic entertainer that features him in the role of a short tempered man. Abusive words are his watchwords in this movie featuring Shalini Pandey in female lead role. From the trailer we understand, the character of Arjun Reddy requires anger management. This movie will hit theaters on the 25th of August 2017. Makers conducted a pre release event for Arjun Reddy and Vijay’s speech in that event became a controversy.
Vijay is quite confident about his movie and believes Arjun Reddy will be a sure shot hit. Apparently, he received a lot of criticism during the trailer launch event which made him feel bad. In the pre release event, he took the opportunity to vent out his frustration at all the people who called him over confident. Vijay said, who else would be confident in his film if not for him. He doesn’t care if people call him overconfident or whatever. He is fine just the way he is.
Despite how people are taking it, Vijay gave an ultimatum saying his attitude will NOT change. He also said he would bet all his money on this movie. He gave a message to students and asked them not to care about what people tell them. Vijay said they should always be confident and never bend their head down. They must always showcase their attitude, no matter what. Vijay took the chance to take a jibe at the censor board for muting one word in the movie. Everybody knows these words and use them on a daily basis, but the board was not even willing to give them an A certificate.
Apparently he also made the students shout out one of the abusive words from the Arjun Reddy trailer. This naturally became a controversy and put Vijay in negative light. Word is going around, he is trying to give a bad image to the audience and students by using such words. What needs to be focused on is that Vijay is speaking just the way everybody else usually does. There is no need to make a huge issue out of it and call him a bad influence. Some elements of media are saying he needs attitude management levels and he should control his foul language if he wants to go ahead in the industry. Apparently, he needs to be humble and show humility.
All Vijay did was stand up for himself and showcase the role he plays in the movie in his speech. However, nothing can pass as something normal in a place where there are people waiting to criticize everything an actor does.
