This versatile actress has three big releases lined up for the coming weeks. Despite playing strong roles in movies like Sarrainodu and Iddarammayilatho, she has barely come into the limelight. This dynamic actress is none other than Catherine Tresa. She played a very strong role in Sarrainodu, that of an MLA, and very few women have the grace of depicting something so well. Catherine was one of strongest pillars of that movie. It is sad she isn’t among the most talked about actresses despite such strong roles and a handful of big movies.
Out of her upcoming movies, Goutham Nanda is releasing on the 28th of July 2017. A clash is anticipated between her other movies Nene Raju Nene Mantri and Jaya Janaki Nayaka, releasing on the 11th of August 2017. It is not very often that we see two movies of an actress releasing on the same day. The fact that Catherine is capable of having such an opportunity is commendable.
In a recent interview, she spoke about Goutham Nanda in detail. She mentioned, it was the script and the unique storyline in Goutham Nanda that attracted her the most. Catherine said, the movie is about how the hero understands his own self but filled with fun and music. She is confident the audience will love the movie. The movie has an underlying message that she hopes will reach the younger generation considering she herself gets inspired by such messages.
Speaking about the hero of Goutham Nanda, Catherine says, Gopichand is an amazing actor who put in a lot of energy for this movie. He tried out a lot of styles before finalizing on this one. Catherine says she was impressed with his new look when she first met him. Gopichand is usually a quite actor, who is very energetic in between shots and goes back to being quiet after the shot again.
Speaking about her role in Goutham Nanda, she said, it is her job to do justice to the director and his vision for the movie. All she did was make sure every detail on her part were delivered perfectly. The actress is positive that, the impact of narration can be felt on screen.
About her co-actor Hansika Motwani, she says, Hansika is a bundle of energy and is very talkative. She is the opposite of Catherine but they got along really well. Catherine announced, she will not do any special songs in the future. She agreed to doing one in Jaya Janaki Nayaka because of the trust she has in director Boyapati Srinu. Catherine loves to dance but she says, from now on, she will only dance for songs in the movie but not for a special song.
Concluding the interview, she spoke about the ongoing drug scandal in Tollywood and her response stood out from what most people said. According to Catherine, everyone has their own will, nobody has the right to judge or complain. In her words, drugs are a way of life and time.
Wishing Catherine Tresa all the very best for her upcoming movies!
