Here is the Maya Mall movie review:
Maya Mall is a low budget Horror film starring Dileep and Eesha Rebba, directed by Govindh Lalam. It is produced by K. V. Harikrishna and the music credits go to Sai Karthik while Thagubothu Ramesh and Shakalaka Shankar are seen in supporting roles in this movie. Maya Mall is actor Dileep’s debut film.
Maya Mall is a simple story between Dileep and Mythri who fall in love and want to get married. But, their parents do not agree to this. As a result of this, the couple elope from their village and get married against their parents will. After coming out of the village, they end up staying in a shopping mall when a mishap takes place. The couple get stuck in the mall along with Thagubothu Ramesh and Shakalaka Shankar.
Details about what the mishap is, why and how does it take place and if the couple get out of it or not, will only be revealed after watching the movie.
The actors did a good job with the film, especially Dileep being a newcomer. The female leads are an eye-candy. However, the movie has a cliché horror story. The storyline is decent but the narration and dialogues are not very exciting. Despite having well known comedians in the movie, their roles and dialogues did not invoke as much laughter as they usually do. Even though the plot was predictable, the background score and editing needs to be appreciated. It is also convincing how the entire story takes place in a limited area, the mall.
Dileep as a newcomer
Eesha’s role and the impact it has on the movie
Low budget film
Over the top comedy
Maya Mall is a one time watch.
