If reports are anything to go by, the release of the Venkatesh starrer Guru is likely to be advanced. Contrary to previous plan of releasing the film for 7 April, the makers are now toying with the idea of releasing the film on 31 March, a week in advance.
While the reasons for advancing the film’s release aren’t known, it’s said that cashing in on Ugadi’s festival, 29th March is expected to be the one of the major reasons for moving the date.
However, as of now, nothing has been finalised. Directed by Sudha, Guru is the Telugu remake of the Tamil sports drama Irudhi Suttru which had Madhavan playing the lead. The recently released trailer has got good reception and the makers are said to be confident of the film’s success.
