Well, one should accept that S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Baahubali: The Beginning” which was released two years ago, has taken Telugu cinema to a whole new level and carved a niche in Indian cinema. But he left everyone with one unanswered question “Why did Kattappa Kill Baahubali”? After the trailer of the sequel “Baahubali: The Conclusion” was launched, we are a bit closer to this pertinent question.
Amidst huge expectations, the film is all set to hit the screens on April 28th. In this trailer, Rajamouli has tried to keep the suspense but unlike the first part, it left the audience with many possibilities. In the first part, it was Kattappa, who told Mahendra Baahubali, that he himself killed Amarendra Baahubali in the war. The scene follows showing that Kattappa stabbing Baahubali in the back.
Well, when coming back to the new trailer, there is a sequence of scenes where Kattappa is kneeling down in front of Baahubali and the king piercing his sword into the ground. It is followed by another shot, which shows Kattappa stabbing Baahubali in the back. Though it clearly didn’t show what happened actually, but left us with many possibilities.
One of them is that Amarendra Baahubali himself asked Kattappa to kill him, and the latter followed it. But there is an another interesting point when we observe both the scenes mentioned above, the background and fire including the placement of arrows on the ground is the same. Also, Baahubali and Kattappa are seen having a deep conversation.
There are chances that Kattappa didn’t kill Baahubali. Because, in the first part, Bhallaladeva tells Devasena that both of them hope Baahubali comes back. She could meet him one last time and he wants to kill him again with his hands. So, here comes the question, “Who killed Baahubali? If Bhallaladeva killed him, then who did Kattappa kill”?
There is also buzz that Baahubali might return back in the second part. Well, to get the correct answer, we have to wait for one more month.
