Sree Vishnu, the budding star of Tollywood is back again with “Maa Abbayi.” He has been in the industry for the past 5 years but after his recent release “After Appatlo Okkadundevadu” he came into the limelight. Now hope this film will put him on the right track. Bollywood actress Chitra Shukla is playing the female lead in “Maa Abbai.” The film is touted be based on a real situation which took place in Hyderabad long ago. Vatti has directed this film and the project is bankrolled by Balaga Prakash Rao
“Maa Abbayi” is a complete family entertainer. This film is based on a real life incident which took place in Hyderabad sometime back. It is about Sree Vishnu who is the elder son of his family. The family is all set for a wedding in their home. While they are is busy with the wedding preparations a drastic incident takes place, a sudden bomb blast in the city changes the hero’s life overnight. He will lose his entire family in the blast and he is left all alone. The remaining story revolves about how he finds out the reason behind the blast and how he takes revenge.
Sree Vishnu has improved a lot as an actor and this shows in his performance. There is a lot more he can do as an actor and he will soon do it. His dialogue delivery has improved a lot when compared to his previous films. Chitra Shukla despite being her debut has done a good job. The remaining cast in the key roles have done their best for this film. The story was routine, the director could have worked a little more on the screenplay and dialogues. The music and photography were a major asset for this film.
The title may look a little attractive but the movie is a little disappointing. The director failed to execute his thoughts. The plot was routine but if at all he worked a little on it, the outcome would have been much better. The actors have also done a decent job. On the whole, this film which was released this weekend will surely let the audience down.
