After creating a lot of buzz for a long time in the industry, the third part of the “Singam” franchise, “S3” is finally back on screen. Suriya, who gave a power packed performance as a cop in the previous parts, again steals the show as a roaring lion all the way. Directed by Hari, the film features Anushka Shetty as the female lead and gave a fine performance. For the second time, Shruti Hassan has shared the screen with Suriya and did her best.
Cast and Crew:

The story starts with the murder of a Mangalore commissioner by some unknown people, and the law and order situation goes out of control. The government hands over the case to CBI and ACP Cadre Narasimha (Suriya.) He heads to the place to investigate the crime, and find those responsible for the murder of the commissioner. While digging into the story, he comes to know about an illegal e-waste dumping operation an international businessman’s involvement. Anushka Shetty (Kavya) is seen as Suriya’s wife and Shruti Haasan will be playing as Vidhya, the role of a journalist. The remaining story forms who is Vitthal Prasad (Thakur Anoop Singh,) how Suriya unfolds the mystery, the person behind it, the arrangement about the mission and why the was Commissioner killed. The audience must watch the film to know the crux of the story.
As usual, Suriya has delivered a power packed performance in the role of a tough cop. He did complete justice to the role and the viewers will definitely feel the intensity in his performance. Suriya looked more dashing and handsome than the earlier prequels. With massive muscles, he takes the movie to the highest level of his performance. Anushka Shetty will be seen in the role of his wife and only appears in some scenes and songs. Though her impact is minimal, she succeeded in spellbinding the audience with her beauty. Shruti Hassan as a Journalist and Suriya’s one-sided love has nothing much to do in the movie. Her role is very nominal but attracted fans with her performance in some songs. Thakur Anoop Singh, who plays the role of antagonist has impacted much the audience and his performance is clap worthy.
This part of the “Singam” franchise is somewhat similar to the earlier parts with intriguing elements and gripping story line full of action. Though the story is good, but the lack of comedy scenes in the serious action packed story might be boring for the audience in the first half. The murder of the commissioner is just the only thread on which the film continues. Even though there are is a lull in the film, the first half picks up after a point and turns out to be interesting and riveting. The second part of the film is a complete action sequences ride. Out of all, the Australia sequence will definitely turned out to be the highlight and give goosebumps. There are some highly emotional and intense sequences in the film, that make the fans to shed tears. The background score is given by Harris Jayaraj and is top notch, but some songs are not good and failed to impress the audience. The cinematography and fights definitely need a special mention.
On the whole, “Singam 3” is a roller coaster ride with thrilling fight sequences and a riveting story line. It is Suriya’s complete one man show with less glamor and flat comedy. After much waiting, this mass masala entertainer is definitely a feast for the eyes for Suriya fans.
