Where there is Balakrishna, there is buzz. Especially with this legendary actor’s 100th movie slated to release soon. The talk of the town is all about “Gautamiputra Satakarni.” The audience is excited to see the magnum opus on the 70 mm screens on 12th January 2017.
“Gautamiputra Satakarni” or GSPK is the story of the regal ruler of ancient India, now portrayed by the famous actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. Shriya Saran plays his love interest in the movie while Hema Malini is essaying the character of his mother. Being directed by Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi and produced by First Frame Entertainments, this is one film that might go on to break records. The trailer promises quite an intriguing and amazing story and screenplay. Now all that is left for the movie to hit theatres and win us over.
The latest news concerning this epic film is that it has been exempted from entertainment tax in both the Telugu States as a gesture of goodwill towards the concept of cinema. The Government has issued a GO (Government Order) MS No 14, which states that the film is tax free. Telangana chief minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced it officially when Balakrishna met him a few days back in TS assembly. Parallely, even the Andhra Pradesh Government has exempted the movie from entertainment tax in its regions.
With such big backing and escalating expectations, “Gautamiputra Satakarni” will be releasing in theaters on 12th January to kick start the celebrations for Sankranthi.
