After playing a quadriplegic in “Oopiri” which was a blockbuster, versatile actor Nagarjuna is gearing up for yet another unconventional film, a devotional film. After classics like “Annamayya,” “Sri Ramadasu” and “Shirdi Sai,” Nag collaborated with K. Raghavendra Rao again for yet another such film “Om Namo Venkatesaya” (ONV,) where he will be seen as a staunch devotee of Lord Balaji.
Touted to be the story of Baba Hathiram, the 18th century devotee of Lord Venkateshwara, the film chronicles his life and times. Anushka Shetty will be seen in a noted role of Krishnamma, also an ardent devotee of Lord Balaji. Her role is said to be helping the film in taking the story forward. ONV has music by ace composer M.M. Keeravani.
After getting rave response to its teaser, the makers are planning to have a grand audio launch on January 8th in Hyderabad on Sai Krupa Entertainments . It’s expected to have a who’s who of the Tollywood fraternity besides the film’s cast and crew. However, the venue is yet to be fixed.
Meanwhile, the film is slated for a worldwide release on February 10. Stay tuned for more updates of “Om Namo Venkatesaya.”
