Ram Charan is basking in the success of his latest film “Dhruva.” The movie is produced by Allu Aravind under the direction of Surender Reddy. The leading lady Rakul Preet Singh, the larger than life antagonist Aravind Swamy and a gamut of amazing supporting cast including the likes of Navdeep have made this one heck of a film in the recent times.
But what made this movie a super hit is the fact that it is of a different genre altogether. Tollywood is known for its mass masala commercials films that come and go at the box office every weekend. But rarely does a film come by that has a solid script, and “Dhruva” was it. The film showcases the cat and mouse tricks that the protagonist and antagonist play with each other which struck a great note with the audience. Ram Charan plays an honest police officer who is out to arrest the white collar super villain Aravind Swamy.
And if you haven’t watched it yet then this will be a good reason to do so – guess who told Ram Charan to go ahead with this film? None other than the master of cinema, Mani Ratnam! At the recent event held to thank the audience for their overwhelming response towards the film, Ram Charan said Mani Ratnam was the force behind him taking up “Dhruva.” The latter advised him that he should try and do films of different varieties than the mainstream films. Looks like the advice did not go to waste as we are loving Cherry in this great character and what’s more, the movie has garnered over 50 crores rupees – the second one to do so after “Magadheera”! Well its certainly all good for the Mega Power Star in tinsel town and we hope that he continues his golden streak!
