The ‘8’ in the title of the film not only left the audience intrigued but also kept them in suspense. Director Surender Reddy reveals the significance of the ‘8’ in the movie. Ram Charan‘s “Dhruva” was released on 9th of December 2016. Till date the movie made a business of approximately 45 crore rupees and collections are still adding to the number.
When asked about the ‘8’ in “Dhruva,” director Surender Reddy said, “the movie has an undercurrent of how good conquers evil. So we borrowed the analogy of the age-old philosophical concept Ashtadigbandhana, which is to trap evil forces. It clicked well.”
In a country like India, superstitions in the present day are still believed. We see many top notch actors from the industry who chose their cast and crew of the film according to numerology and other superstitions. The age old philosophical concept did work for “Dhruva.”
The cast and the crew of the film are being appreciated by many Tollywood personalities for their performances in the film. “Dhruva” features Ram Charan, Arvind Swamy and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. Allu Arvind produced the movie under Geetha Arts production house with a budget of approximately 60 crore rupees. Melodies of the movie were composed by Hiphop Tamizha, who also made their Telugu debut as music directors with this film.
