After the success of the historical fiction film “Rudhramadevi,” director Gunasekhar is up with a new film which is said to be a mythological film. The film “Rudhramadevi” portrayed the story of Rudrama Devi, one of the eminent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty which belonged to the Deccan region.
Director Gunasekhar registered a title “Hiranyakashyapa” in the Film chamber which will be based on the story of Bhakta Prahlada. Speaking to a Telugu daily, he said, “A leading hero will be doing the role of Hiranyakashyapa. Well-established production house would bankroll the project. Cast and crew details will be announced in January next year.”
“Hiranyakashyapa” would be a bilingual made in Telugu and Tamil. These days most films from the Tollywood are being made in Telugu and Tamil.
Actually, Gunasekhar wished to direct “Prathaparudrudu,” the last warrior of the Kakatiya dynasty, after “Rudramadevi”. When asked about it, The filmmaker explained he would begin the shoot of this historical subject only in 2018.
