Tollywood industry is filled with talented people. The industry has a number of hits and at one point of time in history, the Industry stood at the first place for having produced the highest number of movies. India’s biggest movies ever are from the South industry. One is “Bahubaali” and the other is “2.0.” Here are two other ace directors Surender Reddy and Puri Jagannadh who wish to do the same.
With “Dhruva” director Surender Reddy has certainly added himself to the premium directors club. The movie which is a remake of the Tamil film “Thani Oruvan” made a box office collection of approximately 45 crore rupees in its first weekend. Cheers to team “Dhruva” and may the movie surpasses greater collections. Surender Reddy made his directorial debut in “Athanokkade” in 2005 and moved on to direct about 8 films.
On the other hand, Puri Jagannadh is been in the industry since 2000. His directorial debut “Badri” was a super hit. Moving on he directed about 37 films out of which most of them were highly successful.
Both these ace directors who made high budget films now strive to make small budget movies with different concepts. Puri Jagannadh wants to make a small budget concept film which will have Indian and foreign actors. He recollects his small budget film “Amma Nanna O Tamilammayi” which made it big at the box office.
Rumors are doing the rounds that, Surender Reddy would direct Chiranjeevi’s 151st film. Meanwhile Surender Reddy also expressed his urge to direct small budget films with unique concepts.
Talking about concept films, in the recent times, there were few films which made huge box office collections though made on a small budget. “Pelli Choopulu,” “Bichagadu” “Kshanam” were made with very small budgets which collected huge revenues at the box office. Well, let us see which of these both directors come up with their small budget film.
