The upcoming Indian science fiction film, “Robo 2.0” has already completed 60 percent of its shooting under the direction of Shankar. A huge and lavish amount, almost 350 crores of rupees are being spent on making “2.0,” starring Superstar Rajinikanth. Now the director Shankar, wishes to make the film on an international scale and has even roped in top grade VFX team. Here is the shocking update on the budget hike.
As per the latest reports, the budget for Rajini’s “2.0” has been increased by Rs. 50 crores more in order to enhance the visual effects. This additional amount will be used for the VFX team. Moreover, the makers have allocated around Rs. 100 crores for the promotion of “Robo 2.0” which is going to have a grand release in the maximum number of available screens. The special VFX team has been hired by the makers for quality graphics and Shankar is putting extra efforts to make this film visually stunning to reach Hollywood standards.
“Robo 2.0” is touted to be the costliest project ever made in the history of Asian Cinema and the movie is being released in six languages Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, English, Japanese, and Chinese. The dialogue versions of all these languages are ready and this upcoming flick will be released in 3D using the latest techniques and equipment.
Amy Jackson is pairing with the Superstar in this big budget Sci-fi film, while Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is playing the lead antagonist. Oscar Award winner, A.R. Rahman is composing the music for “2.0,” which is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. “2.0” is set to hit the screens across the globe as a massive Diwali treat in 2017.
