Naga Chaitanya is Gautham Menon’s favorite actor. Gautham Menon’s directorial “Ye Maaya Chesave” brought a lot of fame to Naga Chaitanya. In a recent interview with the media, Gautham Menon shared the problems he faced while shooting for the film and many other aspects of his recent film, “Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo.”
“Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo” is produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under Dwaraka Creations banner. This film was also made in Tamil as “Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada” featuring Silambarasan and Manjima Mohan in the lead roles. The music for this romantic thriller is composed by A.R. Rahman. “Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo” was released on 11th of November 2016.
Gautham Menon is a subtle director who always sticks to his script, whether the film would be commercially successful or not. The song “Vellipomaakey” was released around 8 months prior to the release and garnered the team a lot of positive response. While editing the film, many teammates of the editing department suggested Gautham Menon to shift this song to the second half, as the song was already a super hit and there were no songs in the second part. Gautham Menon said that the whole essence of his story will drop if he had shifted the song to the second part. While filming “Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo”, Naga Chaitanya was shooting for “Premam.” Gautham Menon wanted few scenes in which he wanted Naga Chaitanya in a clean shave, but couldn’t do so as few scenes of “Premam” demanded Naga Chaitanya in a groomed beard. Despite the demonetization of currency notes, the online sale of tickets was quite decent and Gautham Menon was impressed with the number of tickets sold online.
These were the problems he faced by the director in filming “Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo.” Gautham Menon is an ‘out of the box’ director. He never changes his scripts and stories in commercial viewpoint. His stories come up in a fascinating manner. This talented director has made films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi and has a great taste in directing films. The movie is being appreciated by the audience and the actors have done a splendid job in portraying their roles. “Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo” made approximately 10 crore rupees at the box office and is presently running successfully at the theaters.
