Legendary singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam will lend his voice for Balakrishna’s 100th film, “Gautamiputra Satakarni.” Mellifluous singer popularly known as S.P.B., won the Guinness World Record for recording the highest number of songs. He has 6 National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer and 25 Nandi Awards to his credit for his works.
Balasubrahmanyam shared the news through his official Facebook page. S.P.B., recorded a duet song for Balakrishna’s “Gautamiputra Satakarni.” Firstly Shreya Ghoshal sang her part in Mumbai, and then Balasubrahmanyam sang his portion at Hyderabad. While Sirivennela Seetharamasastry penned the lyrics for this song, melodies of the song were composed by Chiranthan Bhatt.
S.P.B., earlier composed music for Balakrishna’s movie “Sri Rama Rajyam” way back in 2011. After 5 long years, S.P.B., is singing a song for a Balakrishna‘s film. S. P. Balasubrahmanyam is not only famous in the Telugu industry, but also in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi industries.
He has approximately recorded about 40,000 thousand songs in Indian languages. S.P.B was honored with the Padma Shri in 2001 and a Padma Bhushan in 2011.
