Victory Venkatesh‘s upcoming film “Guru” has completed it’s shooting in Chennai yesterday. Presently, the movie unit is busy in post-production work, whereas the dubbing work will be started in Hyderabad by next week. As per latest updates, the movie teaser will be released on 13th December, as Venkatesh birthday on the same day.
It is directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad, who has handled the direction of the same film in both Tamil and Hindi versions, is the director for Telugu version also. It is known that S. Shashikanth is producing the film under Y NOT Studios whereas dialogues written by Harshavardhan.
Featuring Victory Venkatesh and Ritika Singh in the lead roles. “Guru” is the official remake of the Tamil superhit film “Irudhi Suttru.” It was also remade in Hindi as “Saala Khadoos”. The unit is choosing the heroine Ritika Singh as the right cast for the part because she is trained in various martial arts since she was 6 years old.
Ritika is surely lucky to be cast with all her debut films in the three language versions of the film – Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. Venkatesh, on the other hand, will be seen as a sports coach for the first time. The story of the film is a woman boxer who rises to be a champion.
Earlier, the film was scheduled to release on the occasion of Sankranti. But with many high roller movies getting released on the same day, the latest news is that the film crew has once again changed the release date and scheduled it to 26th January.
