“Ghatana” review
These days, dubbed films are creating a huge impact at the box office and films like “Bichagadu” and “Malupu” are examples of that. There are a few dubbed films lined up for the release and “Ghatana” is the first one “Ghatana” is the dubbed version of the Tamil film “Malini 22 Palayamkottai.” The film was released today and is getting a positive response from the audience all over. Plot:
“Ghatana” has an interesting plot of a nursing student (Nitya Menen) who has a plan to travel to Canada for a job. She then meets Varun (Krish J. Sathaar,) who runs a travel consultancy agency, to help her journey to Canada. Fortunately, both of them fall in love with each other and get involved in a live in relationship. When life is progressing smoothly, a twist arises, by which Varun goes hiding and Nitya faces a lot of problems in an individual by the name of Prakash. The situation gets even worse when Nitya gets imprisoned for unfortunate reasons. She then changes her Canada plan with taking revenge on the people who are the reasons for her current situation.
How Nitya came out of the prison? How did she take revenge on those people forms the rest of the story and this was narrated with an interesting screenplay.
Artists Performance:
The lead pair Nitya Menen and Krish J. Sathaar delivered a decent performance. Nithya gave her career’s best performance in this film and is getting a great response. Senior actor Naresh gave his best and Kota Srinivasa Rao also has done a great justice to his role. The rest of the cast members, Kovai Sarala, Vidyullekha Raman, Gouthami and others also delivered a decent performance.
Technical Aspects:
The director, Sripriya should be applauded for attempting a concept like this. After “Drushyam” she came up with yet another interesting plot and succeeded in filming the story with gripping narration. The music from Aravind-Shankar is quite good. Manoj Pillai should be applauded for his camera work as he recorded the scene based on its mood.
Final Verdict:
The film comes with n interesting plot. “Ghatana” is a must watch film for its interesting concept. Nitya Menen’s performance is a special mention and one will definitely applaud her after watching the film. Go watch the film only in theaters.
