Touted as a romantic thriller, “Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada” comes with an interesting plot and the director, Vi Anand crafted the film beautifully. The story is about Arjun (Nikhil) who leads a happy life, until a big twist arises. The unexpected twist leads Arjun’s life into a breathtaking adventure. It all starts when Arjun accompanies his friend, played by Vennela Kishore, for a treatment and they both leave for Kerala. Arjun is introduced to Nithya (Hebah Patel) who stays in a cottage next to his. After some romantic scenes between Arjun and Nithya, the story then changes and leads to be an adventurous one. Between all the adventures, another twist arises in the form of Amala (Nandita Swetha,) who is shown as a ghost. With this, the movie leads up to the interval. The interval block was brilliantly written by Vi Anand.
Why was Nandita Swetha shown as a ghost? What is the link between the ghost, Arjun and Nithya and the rest of the story? The interesting twists and turns lead to a decent climax.
The lead actors, Nikhil, Hebah and Nandita Swetha delivered an extraordinary performance. Nandita Swetha was too good for the ghost role and she did complete justice to her role. Vennela Kishore is brilliant with his comedy timing and Prudhviraj entertained with his marked style of comedy. Avika Gor appeared in a cameo role and her episode was interesting. Though there is no huge amount of cast in the movie, everyone gave their best for the role.
The film was crafted brilliantly by the director, Vi Anand. He narrated the story with a gripping screenplay. The cinematography by Sai Sriram was too good as his lighting in the film was brilliant. Tunes for the songs and the background score from Sekhar Chandra were impressive. Chota K. Prasad edited the film and he has done his part with excellence. He made the film crisp and never felt boring. Everyone from the technical team also delivered an impressive output.
With the impressive work from everyone from the team, “Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada” is a must watch film of recent times for its interesting plot and gripping narration. Go watch the film only in theaters.
