The director Midhun Manuel Thomas crafted “Pilla Rakshasi” beautifully with decent comedy and emotional scenes. The film is a children-centric concept but there are no hard-hitting messages. In fact, it is a well written feel-good movie of recent times.

Plot:

“Pilla Rakshasi” is a story of a school going kid Ananya (Sara) who is the daughter of a Doctor couple (Saiju-Leona). Sara is very passionate about the long jump and she always dreams of winning the school level competition. But unfortunately, she couldn’t make it into the team due to the arrogant Physical Education trainer David (John Kaippallil). Sara tries to take the help of another person and the rest of the story is very interesting as she gets cheated by the people around her.

Artists Performance:

Every actor made complete justice to their respective roles and Baby Sara is splendid with her performance and impressed everyone with her expressions. Sunny Wayne portrayed the character of a small-time gunda with laziness and he too convinced everyone in the theater. Rest of the actors like Saiju Kurup, Shine Tom Chacko, Leona Lishoy also have done par justice to their role. Dulquer Salmaan’s cameo in the film was good and applauded by everyone.
Technical details:

The cinematography is the first thing that struck my mind when it comes to technicalities of “Pilla Rakshasi”. Vishnu Sharma has captured the film in good frames. The editing was crisp and one will not feel bored while watching the film.

Music composed by Shaan Rahman was decent and background score is given by Sooraj S Kurup and he elevated the scenes with his BGM where it was needed. The director Midhun Manuel Thomas narrated the story in an impressive way and he also developed some characters in the film brilliantly.

There are no major drawbacks in “Pilla Rakshasi” as the film will give you a refreshing feel in every scene.

Final Verdict:

“Pilla Rakshasi” is a feel good entertainer with decent comedy. Though the director narrated social problems in the society, he filled the film with entertainment. “Pilla Rakshasi” is a must watch film of recent times and watch it only in theaters.
