The lead character, Bhujangaih (Prakash Raj) is a highly revered man in his village. A heated argument with his family members over his daughter’s marriage ends up with Bhujangaih leaving the house in frustration and anger. Fate plays foul when a disillusioned and agitated Bhujangaih gets drunk and finds solace in the company of a courtesan (Priyamani.) His life gets worse further when Bhujangaih is locked in a room with Priyamani in a compromising situation. The rest of the story is how Bhujangaih escapes without his family being aware of it.
Prakash Raj, who played diverse, challenging roles throughout his career has delivered yet another splendid performance and walks away with all the laurels.
Priyamani, who is widely regarded as one of the most influential and talented actresses stole the show with her impeccable performance. She remains one of the major assets for the movie.
’30 years’ Pruthvi Raj, who rose to great heights as a star comedian in the recent times is yet another highlight of the film. His role as a frustrated director who gets stuck in a tricky situation is worth a million laughs. Budding actor Satyadev of “Jyothi Lakshmi” fame, gets a meaty role and he lives up to the expectations. He looks natural and all his scenes with Pruthvi are quite funny.
Prakash Raj goes into minute details of every craft of film making and makes the film a visual treat. The camera work is excellent and the village atmosphere gets a genuine look. The background score by the ‘Maestro’ Ilayaraja is top notch and lightens up the proceedings. Screenplay by Prakash Raj is another good part as the proceedings move on a crisp note and end the film well.
Just like the previous films of Prakash Raj, this film is no exception as it’s a content-driven film. The beauty of “Mana Oori Ramayanam” is the time it takes for people to understand and start celebrating it.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YmU_Ciwllc”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
