Released today under Annapurna studios’ banner, this feel good film will warm your heart.
The story starts in the village of Bhupati Nagar where Rajugaru, a wealthy zamindar, has 99 acres of land to his name. The last 1 acre of land belongs to a poor person L. B. Sriram who refuses to sell this piece of ancestral property to Rajugaru. Push comes to shove and Sriram falls dead in front of Rajugaru. Now Rajugaru goes to jail for this crime, but when he returns after a long stint in prison, he hangs himself unable to stand up to the embarrassment faced in front of his villagers.
Cut to the present, Rajugaru’s daughter grows up and has a child, the female protagonist – Shriya Sharma. On the other hand, L. B. Sriram’s son grows up too (Surya) and has a son named Samuel aka the male protagonist – Roshan Meka. Even though the heroine doesn’t like the hero at the start, she gradually falls for him attracted by his wit and charm. But suddenly, the heroine’s family gets to know about their love story and the girl faces brutality at their hands.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”227308″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Unable to countenance this, Samuel and Surya go to Shriya’s family to ask for her hand in marriage and give them the 1 acre of land that they own.
But here comes the twist! Samuel is posed with another condition to make a name for himself before he could marry Shriya. And so Samuel sets off to Hyderabad, to Annapurna Studios to be specific, to earn and settle down. Here comes the grand entry of our ‘King ‘– Akkineni Nagarjuna! Nag plays himself in the movie, who takes the young Samuel under his wing to mentor him. The rest of the film is about how Samuel works for his love and earns Shriya’s hand in marriage.
The movie, overall, has a feel good factor to it. Set in a scenic village background and the hustle bustle of the city, it adds charm to the story. One of the major highlights is Nag singing “Kotha Kotha Bhasha” apart from good music by Roshan Saluri. All in all, a pleasant watch for the weekend.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8l1PDLDtlE”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_btn title=”Click Here To Know About Big Fat Weddings” color=”turquoise” size=”lg” align=”left” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fthetelugufilmnagar.com%2F2016%2F09%2F15%2Fbig-fat-weddings%2F||target:%20_blank”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
