Gopichand is one of the best examples of an actor who carved a niche for himself with sheer hard work and determination. Despite being the son of the legendary filmmaker, T. Krishna, Gopichand had to struggle like a stranger to the industry to make his own mark in showbiz. After his debut movie “Tholivalapu,” tanked at the box-office, he lost his grip as a leading actor.
However, he was quick to adapt to changing situations and resurfaced soon as a powerful actor, not shying away from negative roles like the one in “Jayam,” “Nijam,” and Varsham.” Audiences, however, took the time to get acclimatized to the idea of Gopichand as a villain.
The handsome hunk who has proven himself in comedy, villainy and onscreen heroics is coming up with yet another commercial entertainer “Oxygen,” directed by A.M Jyothi Krishna, the son of noted producer A.M. Ratnam. Gopichand who is pretty excited about his role in the movie said, he is donning a new role which he hasn’t portrayed so far and his fans would thoroughly enjoy him in a new avatar and also said the action sequences would be the major highlights of the movie.
Touted to be an action entertainer, “Oxygen” features Gopichand, Rashi Khanna and Anu Emanuel in the lead roles. The movie’s shooting has been wrapped up recently and is likely to hit the screens by Dussehra, this year.
