Who can forget such a famous dialogue “…30 Years Industry…,”? Prudhvi Raj, the noted comedian who uttered this dialogue in Krishna Vamsi‘s film “Khadgam” can never be forgotten.  It was the first break for Prudhvi Raj, making his mark in Tollywood with his unique mannerism, he is one of the most successful comedians. Today is the birthday of Prudhvi Raj and here’s a small report on his film career.

A few years back we had the likes of Brahmanandam and M.S. Narayana ruling the roost and now Prudhvi Raj has carried the baton and is navigating impressively along the dicey waters of Telugu cinema. We don’t know for how long this Prudhvi Raj era would continue but, as long as it lasts, we can be assured of ‘laughter therapy’ from this talented comedian.

Prudhvi Raj made his debut with the film “Intinta Deepavali,” and rose to fame with “Aa Okkati Adakku” by E.V.V. Satyanarayana. He acted in over 100 movies. Since his childhood, he had a dream to act in films and participated in many shows and cultural activities. Initial struggles led to a settled career now, Prudhvi Raj is a very busy actor playing crucial roles with top most Tollywood actors such as: Ravi Teja, Venkatesh, Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Allu Arjun, Gopi Chand, and Nithin.

That Prudhvi Raj is an indispensable part of Telugu commercial cinema is an almost unwritten rule now. The star works round the clock, is disciplined, accommodating and has his own trusted team of writers with whom he brainstorms on his comedy tracks. ‘Book Prudhvi Raj first, then think of the story, screenplay and other cast’ seems to be the mantra nowadays.

He is famous for the comic roles with comedy timing and very effective dialogue delivery. His highly acclaimed comic role in “Loukyam” presented him the Special Jury Award and exemplified his mettle as the best comedian. His list of films includes “Ready,” “Kick,” “Vedam,” “Gabbar Singh,” “Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu,” “Venkatadri Express,” “Dictator,” “Sarrainodu,” etc.. His performances as a police officer in recent films like “Selfie Raja” and “Jakkanna” are really hilarious and outstanding.

On this special occasion, thetelugufilmnagar.com greets Prudhvi Raj a very happy birthday and much success in his career.
