[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Sunil’s long awaited laugh a riot “Jakkanna,” is hitting the screens finally on this 29th July, making theater goers to smile. The story line of the film “Jakkanna” was along the same lines as a few other comedy flicks we have seen before by the talented young director Vamsi Krishna of “Dongata” fame. However, the screen treatment of “Jakkanna” is given a new look all together.
The story of the film “Jakkanna” deals with the journey of a man named Ganesh, played by Sunil, getting involved in various people’s lives wishing to repay them for the help he received. Sunil plays a happy go lucky guy who never forgets those who helped him, be it either a small or huge favor. He enters into their lives to give back, but creates all kinds of mess.
In one such instance, Sunil’s Ganesh stumbles into the life of the Baddie, Bairagi, who is very cruel and has no identity in the city of Vizag. Except that everyone in the City know and fear just the sound of his name. Bairagi accidentally helped Sunil in their childhood. Sunil enters back into his life after all these years, opens up his identity and reforms him into a respectable man in society. Bairagi’s sister is played by Mannar Chopra and she is the love interest of Sunil’s character. Rest of the story deals with funny incidents taking place in the journey of Sunil into the baddie’s life.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”212450″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Special mention must be made about the popular comedian Saptagiri, as “Kung Fu Pandu,” who keeps forgetting who he is very often and creates great fun from the beginning. Kudos also to the role played by ’30 years industry’ Prudhviraj, who plays the role of C.I. Kattappa. He almost played a parody of Balakrishna’s recent ferocious roles by imitating both his mannerisms and dialogues. The heroine, played by Mannar, is cute in the role of an innocent girl adding glamour to the screen story.
Overall, “Jakkanna” can be said to be a comedy entertainer and a one man show from Sunil. It is aptly complimented by Saptagiri and Prudhviraj with the added spice of Mannar’s glamor. Compositions of Dinesh sounded fresh and melodious. Finally, it can be undoubtedly said that audiences will not get bored watching Sunil’s “Jakkanna.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1O_PXMrgBU”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
