Telugu cinema has been blessed with many ‘Superstars’ and ‘Super actors’ since it’s inception. While few fall under the ‘Superstars’ category, some can be counted among the ‘Super actors’ while the rare few come under both the categories. We are talking about one such rare phenomenon whose name fits seamlessly among this elite few and he is none other than NTR. He’s exuberant, mesmerizing, and victorious.
NTR was barely 8 years old when he made his first screen presence as the young “Bharatha” in his legendary grandfather NTR‘S “Brahmarshi Vishwamitra“, later appeared as Lord “Rama” in Gunasekhar‘s award-winning movie “Balaramayanam“as a child actor. He quickly emerged as the main draw and lead actor at just 18 with “Ninnu Choodalani“. Despite, the debut movie didn’t live up to the expectations, NTR rose to stardom with movie Student No., 1, followed by “Aadi” and “Simhadri” .
It was during the early 2000s that NTR firmly established himself as the top-grossing commercial entertainer in the Telugu Film Industry. His film Simhadri with director Rajamouli set an industry record and the Young Tiger literally became a demi-god to his legion of fans when he was barely 20. He attained stardom when the leading heroes of Tollywood Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh are at the zenith of their fame. No artist – indeed, has eclipsed what NTR accomplished at such a young age of their careers. He won a name, fame, and money and developed a self-image that set him apart from his contemporaries.
On that note, we wish NTR a very Happy Birthday on behalf of all his fans and are looking forward to his smashing performance in “Janatha Garage”.
